Singer was born on 26 November 1986 in Santa Monica California. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo and maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. When she was six, her family moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey. When she arrived in New Jersey, she finished her education at Red Bank Catholic High School.
